Reader’s Write: Turano ‘outstanding’ as Munsey justice

The Island Now

Munsey Park Village elections will take place in early March, including election of Munsey Park’s village justice. I am writing in support of John Turano, who has been an outstanding village justice for the past 10 years.

Having lived in Munsey Park for 25 years, John has been active in the local area both professionally and personally. He has been an assistant district attorney, a deputy town attorney for the Town of North Hempstead, the prosecuting attorney for Lake Success and New Hyde Park villages.

This broad experience has prepared John for the responsibilities required of the Munsey Park Village Justice.

I know John in his legal practice and have found him to be honest, thoughtful, deliberate, and professional in every way. The Village Justice Court, which typically handles vehicle, traffic, and building-code violations, is a first experience with the justice system for many people.

With his experience and solid values, Village Justice John Turano presents that system in a constructive, principled manner to persons appearing before the Court.

I encourage my fellow Munsey Park residents to vote for John Turano for village justice.
