Isn’t it ironic that a village governing board should discourage smoking on its streets, while, at the same time, allowing the construction of a Hookah [bar] across the street from two synagogues?
The potential public health hazard and its detrimental effect on our children and families cannot be denied.
The mayor and the Great Neck Village trustees should revoke its initial approval (granted, I might add, without major community input) immediately.
