Girls Minor Division
Zadnik DDS 5, FS1 5. M. Ogden had a bases-loaded triple while pitchers M. Bleeker and M. Bronzino worked the mound and did very well. Most of the girls are getting some good hits in and getting on the base.
Zadnik DDS 14, WH2 11. Ogden had two triples and a double with five RBIs. Bronzino and Ogden pitched well, while Sara P. did an amazing job behind the plate. M. Bleeker hit a single and a double, Emily Locker had three singles, Mia had four singles. Sara P. had two singles and Vanessa and Brianna each had a single. Brianna stole one base and Katie Hop attempted to steal home.
Zadnik DDS 12, Malverne 11. Marisa Ogden, Katie Hopkins and Ashley Rullo pitched very well. Ogden had seven strike outs, Hopkins and Rullo each had two. Ashley was walked three times and was able to work her way around the bases and score three of the runs. Katie had two singles, a double and also worked her way around the bases to scores three times. Marisa hit a single, a home run with two on base, walked and scored two runs. Tori, Gabby, Maria, Saanvi and Kelsey each had singles. Maria and Sarah P. caught the game for Zadnik and continue to build their catching confidence. Zadnik is now 9-1-1
NHP Mathnasium 10, Floral Park 7. Averill South. Nearly every girl on the team scored and everyone got on base. It was a day for the “K” girls with Jennifer Scanlon going 2-for-2 with two RBIs and scored a run, while Julia K. pitched a good game and Julia B. scored a run and got on base every time. The pitchers accounted for 10 strikeouts and only four walks.
NHP Mathnasium 10, Franklin Square 1 7. The girls continue to have fun and get better every game. They have been working on their base running skills really hard and it showed off during this game. Good job Team Mathnasium. Math pulled away with another 10-7 win and the entire team deserves a highlight post. Mathnasium is now 6-6-1.
