“The defense definitely came up strong,” Gallagher said. “They had a really good first half. Krissy also played well and came up with some big saves for us.”

In the first half, Manhasset outscored North Shore 4-0 and outshot them 11-5.

Rielly scored two goals while Sheridan recorded a goal and an assist to pace Manhasset’s attack.

Manhasset took a 1-0 lead roughly two minutes into the game.

Sheridan scored a goal off a feed from Casey Roszko.

With 15:33 remaining in the first half, Rielly scored a goal off a feed from Sheridan to give Manhasset a two goal lead.

Maggie Beresheim gave Manhasset a 3-0 lead with 12:47 left in the first half on a free position shot.

Rielly scored her second goal of the game at 10:40 and Manhasset took a 4-0 lead into halftime.

In the second half, Manhasset outscored North Shore 3-2 and had a 7-6 edge in shots on goal.

Greene provided North Shore’s offense with two goals.

Greene capitalized on a Manhasset penalty with 22:38 left in the second half as North Shore trailed 4-1.

Rielly completed the hat trick with 16:12 left to play off a feed from Shea Garcia to give Manhasset a 5-1 lead.

While it was an all-around effort that got them the win, Rielly said a big factor in her performance was working with teammates to generate scoring chances.

“Individually, I did well with feeding off my teammates,” Rielly said. “Everybody worked together to create options for each other. Our defense was a big part of causing turnovers as well as our midfielders bringing it out, but I think it was a full team effort.”

Madison Miller gave Manhasset a five goal lead with 15 minutes remaining on a free position shot.
