The Nassau County police arson squad is investigating the cause of an early morning house fire in Roslyn Heights on Tuesday, police officer Jean Deluca said.

The fire at the Donald Street home was reported in a 911 call at 4:25 a.m., she said. None of the occupants was harmed.

Photos published by Newsday depict tall flames and black smoke erupting from a first-floor window in the two-story home.

Attempts to reach Roslyn Highlands Fire Chief Michael Gannon were unavailing.
