Police seek man who used stolen credit card number

The Port Washington Police Department is searching for a man who used a stolen credit card number at two stores in Port Washington on June 5.

The man used the credit card number with Apple Pay, a payment method on iPhones, to pay for $214 worth of merchandise at Game Stop in the Soundview Marketplace at 11:45 a.m. on June 5.

He then made an $8 charge and a 50-cent charge with the card at Subway in the Soundview Marketplace immediately after. 

The police have released surveillance camera photos of the man, who is black and was wearing a black Nike sweatshirt that says New York and a black Nike hat.

Port Washington Police Department detective Raymond Ryan said he believes the man is either a new resident or someone who works in the area.
