Four people were taken to a local hospital following a car accident that took place in Flower Hill Saturday night, 3rd Squad detectives said.
A 2013 Mercedes Benz traveling northbound on Port Washington Boulevard was struck by a 2011 Toyota that was traveling southbound and attempting to turn left onto Country Club Drive, detectives said.
According to detectives, the Mercedes’ passengers, an 85-year-old man and a 79-year-old woman, were taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Both passengers of the Toyota, an 82-year-old man and a 77-year-old woman, were taken by ambulance to a local hospital, police said.
The man was treated for a head contusion and the woman was treated for a punctured lung.
Police said both cars were inspected for safety and they did not report any apparent criminal activity.
