High school students contribute their time and talents to the East Hills program called “Friends for Friends.”

Through the effort, planned and run by Trustee Clara Pomerantz, each month special needs children enjoy games, ping pong, arts and crafts and have fun at the Park at East Hills.

“We fully support the positive, upbeat program which brings smiles to our special needs children,” Mayor Michael Koblenz said. “I applaud the highly beneficial work by Clara and all the volunteers.”

“I am thankful to everyone involved. Together, we have created a program with an overwhelming success,” Pomerantz responded.
