Accolades for New Hyde Park’s Future Business Leaders of America

The New Hyde Park Memorial High School chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America attended the annual FBLA Spring District Meeting at Hofstra University in Hempstead on Jan. 19.

At the meeting, 11 New Hyde Park students competed against other schools in Nassau County in various business-related events.

Three students placed in first: Barbara Baker-Pena, for technology concepts, Veronica Solis, for personal finance, Cassandra Ward, for accounting I.

Three students placed in second, Jacqueline Moglia, for basic decision-making, Veronica Solis, for impromptu speaking, Sarah Abraham, for word processing.

Two students placed in third place: Barbara Baker-Pena, for business communications, Mohammed Rajshahiwala, for sports marketing.

Sarah Abraham placed in foruth for economics.

Two students placed in fifth: Armany Jivraj, for client services, and Cassandra Ward, for personal finance.
