Sydell Glasser, an art teacher at Floral Park Memorial High School, was one of 14 artists selected to participate in the Heckscher Museum of Art’s Emerging Artist Series. Ms. Glasser’s painting, “Krafla Is Still Venting,” was recently on the display at the museum. She also presented a public slideshow and artist talk about her inspiration and process in one of the museum’s galleries.
