Assemblyman D’Urso Joins League of Women Voters to Discuss Environmental Issues

Assemblyman Anthony D’Urso, a member of the New York State Assembly’s Environmental Conservation Committee, recently joined the League of Women Voters of Port Washington-Manhasset to discuss local issues at their annual fundraiser held at the Village Club of Sands Point.

Keynote speaker was Patti Wood, founder and Executive Director of Grassroots Environmental Education, a not-for-profit environmental-health organization who spoke about relevant environmental issues that affect our community.
Since 1920 the League of Women Voters has been working to improve our government and to engage all citizens in decisions which affect us. The more than 800 chapters advocate in all 50 states, in DC, the Virgin Islands and Hong Kong at national, state and local levels.
