Nassau County Legislator Ellen W. Birnbaum (D – Great Neck) celebrated PATV – Long Island’s rebranding as North Shore TV and cut the ribbon on their Studio B podcast studio during the organization’s annual community media celebration on Friday, Oct. 18. The Lake Success-based organization completed Studio B with a $25,000 Hotel-Motel Tax grant that Legislator Birnbaum secured at the end of 2018.

“At a moment when North Shore TV is embarking on a new chapter of providing informative and entertaining programs for the public, I am proud to stand with the leaders of this organization and celebrate their commitment to serving their viewers,” Legislator Birnbaum said. “I’m excited to see what the coming years will bring to the screen.”

The not-for-profit organization, which was launched in 1984, reaches audiences in Great Neck and other nearby North Shore communities. North Shore TV’s mission is to promote and produce television programming of an educational, literary, cultural, and civic nature.

North Shore TV also aims to heighten community awareness and increase community participation through the making and viewing of local television, and to encourage programming to reflect the concerns, interests, and activities of the communities it serves.
