A career workshop for girls will take place at Athleta Manhasset

The Island Now
June 5th Career Workshop for girls, grades 4th - 8th

On Wednesday, June 5, One World Girl and Athleta Manhasset will host a career workshop for girls at Athleta Manhasset, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The workshop will include women leaders from diverse industries speaking about their own jobs, as well as high school mentors and many creative activities for girls to explore their dreams, hopes and future careers.

Women are an incredibly important part of America’s workforce, and it is essential to inspire young girls of their potential so that they can build upon the legacy that today’s working women are creating for the future. The workshop is designed to empower girls by showing them the variety of opportunities in the workforce and encouraging them to be excited about the future. As Michelle Obama once said, “Success isn’t about how much money you make; it’s about the difference you make in people’s lives.”

The career workshop is open to girls in grades 4 to 8. Parents and guardians are welcome to explore the venue while girls participate. For event information and to RSVP, go to www.events.athleta.com/beachangemakercareerworkshop.
