A Mid Summer Night's Dream @ Five Towns College

The award-winning Five Towns College Theatre Company is presenting “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, April 28 at 3 p.m. Tickets for the general public are $15 for adults, and $12 for students and seniors.

“A Midsummer Night’s Dream” is a Shakespearean comedy that focuses on the marriage of Theseus, the Duke of Athens, to Hippolyta, the former queen of the Amazons. Most of the play takes place in a forest that is inhabited by the fairies who control six amateur actors. “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” is all about the very amusing events that lead up to the wedding, including adventures of four young Athenian lovers.

The audience will watch Five Towns College students sing, dance and act on stage; the triple threat combination of skills and abilities that they learn in the school’s Theatre Arts program. Also, the musical will give the local community a look at the creative set on stage that the theatrical design and technology students have built and insight into the behind-the-scenes education that takes place on campus.
