Adelphi presents ‘Agents of Change’ as its annual Ruth S. Ammon endowed lecture in education

Adelphi University’s Ruth S. Ammon School of Education will be holding its fourth annual Endowed Lecture in Education on Wednesday, April 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Preforming Arts Center Lobby and Concert Hall.

The event will feature a vibrant panel discussion of teachers as change agents in their schools and communities, student organizations taking center stage to promote their clubs and organizations and the debut of the Ammon Alumni Affiliation.

This year’s lecture series titled “Agents of Change: Stories from Our Schools and Communities” will feature a group of panelists from various “agents of change” focuses including food justice, environmental stewardship, anti-violence/anti-gang, restorative Justice in the Schools and kindergarten children.

Panelist include Bill Ayers from Why Hunger, AnnMarie Carbone from Master Science Teacher, Serge Argueto from Strong Youth, Paul Caccomo from Up2Us Sports, Tara Ryba from New Paltz Central School District and Christy Taveira from Valley Stream 13 School District.
