Adelphi Symphony Orchestra presents concert on Oct. 27 at 7:30 p.m.

The Adelphi Symphony Orchestra performs on Oct. 27.

The students and faculty of the Adelphi University Department of Music will present a concert under the direction of Grammy nominee Christopher Lyndon-Gee Friday Oct. 27 at 7:30 p.m. on the Westermann Stage at Adelphi University Performing Arts Center (PAC), located at 1 South Ave. Garden City, NY.

The orchestra will perform “Postludium” by post-modernist composer Valentin Silvestrov, featuring Oswaldo Machado, recent graduate student of composition, conducting and piano, as solo pianist. Distinguished soprano and faculty member, Kelley Nassief, sings Richard Strauss’ “Four Last Songs,” and will join the orchestra in the finale, Gustav Mahler’s profound “Fifth Symphony.”
