Albertson’s Walter Frame elected as trustee of State Volunteer Firemen’s Home

Trustee Walter Frame

Walter Frame, of Albertson, has been elected to the Board of Trustees of the Firemen’s Association of the State of New York Firemen’s Home, a specialized residential healthcare facility for retired volunteer firefighters in Hudson, NY. Walter previously served a partial term on the board and this will be his first five-year term.

Frame is a 33-year member of the Albertson Volunteer Fire Department. He is a Vietnam Veteran and served from 1967-1969.

Frame joined the department in 1987 and has held many positions, including President, Vice President, and a member of their Board of Trustees.

Frame is a past president and vice president of the Nassau County Firemen’s Association, a past president of the North Shore Firemen’s Holy Name Society, and has been the North Shore Fire Council’s Treasurer for the past 17 years.

“As a trustee, I endeavor to do everything I can to support the home and see that it is run correctly,” said Frame. “The firemen’s home is exceedingly important to our members and I look forward to overseeing the health and wellbeing of volunteer firefighters from across the state.”

Frame is retired and resides in Albertson with his wife, Kathleen. He has 3 children and is a proud grandfather to 6 grandchildren.
