Assemblyman D’Urso’s Skin-telligence Event at Parkwood

The Island Now

Assemblyman Anthony D’Urso brought his annual Skin-telligence program to the Parkwood Pool in Great Neck. The program’s purpose is to spread awareness about skin damage, and to promote steps to avoid it.

Skin-telligence is partnered with the Collete Coyne Melanoma Awareness Campaign (CCMAC). The event included free skin-damage screenings using a Derma Scan machine provided by CCMAC and information about staying safe in the sun, as well as free bug repellent, chapstick, and sunscreen.

“It is very important for people to take care of their skin when they go outside, especially during the summer,” said D’Urso.
