Cedarmere celebrates Bryant and Whitman

William Cullen Bryant's Historic Cedarmere Estate

The Friends of Cedarmere, Inc. celebrate the Milestone Birth Years of William Cullen Bryant at 225 and Walt Whitman and 200, with a grand pageant produced by Paul Baserman, featuring an original theater piece – “Kindred Wayfarers”- by Fred Stroppel, and performed by North Shore’s finest community players, dancers, singers and musicians on Saturday, Sept. 14.

Also showcasing premieres of new works to Bryant poems by the celebrated Dance Visions NY company, under the direction of dancer and choreographer Beth Jucovy.

The event is free and entertaining for all ages. Included is a reception and opportunity for audience participation. Seating is provided, but lawn chairs and blankets are welcome. The gates open at 5:30, and concludes at sunset with a grand finale. Parking is available in lots north and south of the Main House on the Cedarmere Estate.
