David Lerner Associates and the Greater Long Island Running Club are pleased to announce that a check in the amount of $1,000 will be presented to the Nassau Police Running Club at a special ceremony on Friday, Oct. 9th at the offices of David Lerner Associates, 477 Jericho Turnpike in Syosset, starting promptly at 1:00 PM.
The donation represents the first $1,000 of the proceeds of the annual David Lerner Associates Long Island Police Appreciation 5 Kilometer Run. This year, because of the COVID – 19 pandemic, the Run could only be conducted “virtually” rather than as a “live” event.
Further proceeds will, as in the past, benefit the Long Island Police Crisis Foundation that has benefitted police officers and their families in Nassau and Suffolk Counties for the past 29 years.
Among the dignitaries who will be on hand to be part of the presentation ceremony are Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino and Nassau County Legislator Rose Walker.
