Mindfulness is the practice of being fully present and aware of what is happening right now, allowing for whatever comes up without judgment or resistance. If you have ever thought about trying the practice of mindfulness and meditation… here is your chance. Listen to expert Jo Futerman discuss both practices and how to incorporate them into the day. The discussion will finish with a short meditation and Q&A. Adults only.

TWEEN CANVAS ART
Thursday, March 14 at 4 p.m.
Tweens between the ages of 10 to 12 can visit the library and paint an owl canvas. The event is hosted by the Little Art Studio. $15. Participants must register and pay in the library.

EAST WILLISTON IRISH NIGHT
Thursday, March 14 at 7 p.m.
Wear green and come out to enjoy treats, music and Irish step dancing performed by East Williston’s own talented young girls and learn how to make Irish soda bread.
Adults only: $5.00. Register and pay in the library.
For Irish soda bread, bring one of the following: a cast iron skillet, deep dish pie plate, and two small skillets or muffin cups to bring home and cook

MEET AND GREET THE CANDIDATES FOR THE VILLAGE OF EAST WILLISTON BOARD 
Thursday, March 7, 6 TO 7:30 p.m.
Candidates for both mayor and trustee positions will be present to speak to residents. Vote on March 19 at the Village Hall from 12 to 9 p.m.
