State Assemblyman Anthony D’Urso (D-Port Washington) recently visited the Clark Botanic Gardens to enjoy a concert and recognize the beautiful nature that the Albertson garden displays. The event was organized by the Town of North Hempstead and is part of its 2019 Summer Concert Series.

The 12-acre facility is aesthetically pleasing but also a perfect place to learn about the superb horticulture it features. The garden develops educational programs for visitors of all ages. It is maintained by The Fanny Dwight Clark Memorial Garden Inc., a non-profit dedicated to the preservation of the garden. The landscape was enhanced by the music of folk musician David Sear and folk-rock harmony group Gathering Time.

“I am honored to be able to enjoy this beautiful establishment and the always entertaining music of David Sear,” D’Urso said. “Clark Botanic Garden has been a cathedral of nature for half a century and is a highlight on the North Shore of Long Island. The music was fantastic and I hope to return soon.”
