Assemblyman Anthony D’Urso recently attended a screening of the film “Dolores” at the Community Synagogue of Port Washington.

“Farmworkers must work outdoors in all weather conditions and receive little compensation,” said D’Urso.

The film is a historical documentary about Dolores Huerta an activist who co-founded the first farmworkers’ union in the United States with Cesar Chavez. A discussion of farmworkers’ rights and their working conditions followed.
