The AARP Volunteer Team of North Hempstead is partnering with the Lakeville Estates Civic Association to host a free shredding event on Saturday, May 18 at the Clinton G. Martin parking lot. The event, which is open to the public, will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., or until the shredding truck is filled.
The Clinton G. Martin Park is located at the corner of New Hyde Park Road and Denton Avenue in New Hyde Park. There is a limit of three shopping bags per person consisting of paper only with no magazines or newspapers. These annual shredding events are a great way to eliminate documents which contain personal information.
