In celebration of Earth Day - Gold Coast Arts Virtual Cinema Series presents a special, free screening of “Sustainable Nation” on April 22, 2020.

The Gold Coast Arts Virtual Cinema is pleased to introduce its new online Cultural Insider Series: Changing the world through storytelling, a series of intimate conversations as we come together to bring you the best in film, art, and meaningful dialogue. Premiering on April 20, and in honor of HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE DAY, Gold Coast Arts presents two important virtual events –
LOOKING AT THE HOLOCAUST THROUGH FILM: A Conversation with Writer, Historian & Film Consultant Dr. Michael Berenbaum. Moderated by Michael S. Glickman, Gold Coast Arts Board Member and Past President. A recommended list of important films and a podcast series about the Holocaust are also available to watch, listen and share. A LOOK INSIDE “THE NUMBER ON GREAT-GRANDPA’S ARM”: A Conversation with the film’s award-winning animator and painter Jeff Scher. Moderated by Michael S. Glickman, Gold Coast Arts Board Member and Past President. Included is a link to the family-friendly free screening of “The Number on Great-Grandpa’s Arm”, as well as a behind-the-scenes look inside the studio of artist Jeff Scher. In a world where clean water is everything, SUSTAINABLE NATION follows three innovators who are taking valuable lessons learned from Israel’s water shortage to the rest of the world. This 2019 documentary from Imagination Productions shows how solving global water issues is not only a matter of life and death, it’s the start of healing the world.
A special Q&A with the film’s Executive Producer Raphael Shore, Producer Rebecca Shore, and Regina Gil, Founder and Executive Director of Gold Coast Arts, follows the film.
