Halloween Happenings for “Boos and Ghouls” Along with our free public sessions, Kiddy & Haunted Walks and exciting activities, we are now offering a Halloween Window Painting event! It all takes place at the Andrew Stergiopoulos Ice Rink.
Children in grades 3 through 10, can paint a window on October 28, 29 and/or 30. Register individually ($18) or as a team ($25 for 2-5 people max). We provide all the supplies. Prizes will be awarded on Tuesday, Oct. 31 at 7 p.m.
Also, on Halloween, you will be admitted to the Andrew Stergiopoulos Ice Rink FREE if you dress in costume! Enjoy our public sessions (3-5 p.m. & 6 – 9 p.m.), Halloween Ice Show (5:15 – 6 p.m.), Kiddy Walk (12:30 – 7 p.m.) and Haunted Walk (6 – 9 p.m.). Weekend Movie at Great Neck House Beauty and the Beast (2017), directed by Bill Condon, will be shown on Friday, Oct. 27 at 8 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 28 at 5 and 8 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 29 at 7:30 p.m. at Great Neck House.
Starring Emma Watson, Dan Stevens and Luke Evans, this film is an adaptation of the fairy tale about a monstrous-looking prince and a young woman who fall in love.
It is rated PG and runs 2 hours 9 minutes. Admission requires a park card.
Sunday @ 2: Mark Valenti Sunday, October 29 at 2 p.m., pianist Mark Valenti performs at Great Neck House. Not only has Mr. Valenti performed world-wide with such legends as Gregory Hines, Al Grey and Frank Foster, but he had the privilege of giving a solo recital to former First Lady Barbara Bush. Admission to Great Neck House requires a park card.
Try-Hockey-for-Free Day Come down to the Andrew Stergiopoulos Ice Rink on Saturday, November 4, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., for “Try-Hockey-for-Free Day”. Everyone who would like to participate must sign-up on line at www.USAHockey.com. There is limited space available so don’t delay, sign-up today!

Nature Program: Something Special Saturday, Oct. 29 at 11 a.m., join us at the Norman J. Levy Park in Merrick for an inspiring tour of this former landfill, now reclaimed by nature. You will be captivated by its beauty and awed by the views.

Defensive Driving Classes at Great Neck House Great Neck House continues to offer Empire Safety Council Defensive Driving classes on the first Saturday of every month.
The classes run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Upcoming classes are Nov. 4 and Dec. 2. To register or for more information, call Great Neck House at 482-0355.
