Susan Agin will star in "Hanukkah, with a Twist"

On Sunday, Dec. 2 at 2:00 p.m., members of the congregations of Lake Success Jewish Center and Temple Isaiah will join the congregants at Temple Emanuel of Great Neck for a jointly sponsored, special holiday show celebrating Hanukkah.

The program includes everyone’s favorite Hanukkah songs, in addition to standards from the American Songbook, and Broadway favorites!
The first Annual “Hanukkah, With A Twist” program features Susan Agin, touted by many as a great talent in both Jewish and secular music, Danny Bacher, a dynamic entertainer with world-class talents in music and theater, and America’s Got Talent comedian Steven Scott!

Backed by a live band, all members of the community are invited to partake in some Hanukkah happiness with this inspired powerhouse trio.
Susan Agin has the distinct honor of not only being an accomplished performer, but also a highly respected arts administrator. As such, she’s a true “theatre professional,” who understands and appreciates the challenges and triumphs both on the stage, and behind the scenes.

Susan is known throughout the metropolitan area for her celebrated musical comedy style of performing, and can be seen performing in popular New York live music venues such as Feinstein’s 54 Below, 92nd Street Y, Saint Peter’s Church, Don’t Tell Mama’s, The 45th Street Theater, as well as in regional theaters and community centers including Bay Street Theater, John W. Engeman Theater, Adelphi University, Temple Emanuel of Great Neck, and the Merrick Center for the Arts.

She adds to her achievements “recording artist” for being granted the opportunity to record One Song written by multi-award winner Marvin Hamlisch, which critics have referred to as “the anthem for all people.” Susan Agin is currently the executive and artistic director of the Queensborough Performing Arts Center in Bayside.
Danny Bacher is a singer, saxophonist, songwriter and consummate performer.

The New York Times calls Bacher, “a prodigiously talented musical preservationist.” He’s a dynamic entertainer with world-class talents in music, theater, and comedy. His clean, crisp delivery is reminiscent of the true greats in entertainment. An engaging stage presence, a smooth-as-silk voice, and the gift of a storyteller all come together to complete this package.

Add to that his saxophone prowess and you have one of the hottest musicians on the scene today. He has been a fixture on the New York stage in venues like Birdland, Town Hall, The Blue Note, Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and he has toured internationally.
As seen on TV and stages from Broadway to the Las Vegas Strip, Steven Scott is a comedian, actor and host whose unique and tasteful brand of comedy combines clever observations of his everyday life with his amazing vocal talent, which includes an array of characters, voices and sounds ranging from celebrities to musical instruments.

Once described as a perfect mix between Jerry Seinfeld and Jim Carrey, Steven loves getting paid now to do exactly what used to get him into trouble as a kid. He has performed with some of the biggest names in show business, both onstage and on screen, including comedy clubs, TV and radio shows and his recent standing ovation appearances on America’s Got Talent.
