Steppingstone Waterside Theatre: This year’s Folk Fest featuring James Maddock, with host Dave Sear, is being performed in Steppingstone Park, Saturday, Aug. 17 at 8 p.m. Maddock has performed with legends such as Bruce Springsteen and Willie Nile. He has the ability to expertly combine folk, classic pop and rock. The folk legend Dave Sear will open the show. Sunday, Aug. 18, one of the fastest growing Persian pop stars of all time, Farshid Amin, performs at Steppingstone. He was twice nominated by WAMA (Washington Area Music Association) for best vocalist before writing and performing his first Persian mega hit “Nastaran” which thrusted him into the Persian music scene.
