Pre-Kindergarten students at Temple Beth Sholom Early Childhood Center enjoy celebrating Havdalah with Cantor Ofer Barnoy

On Mondays at Temple Beth Sholom Early Childhood Center, pre-Kindergarten students welcome in a new week with ritual objects and prayers in a special ceremony called Havdalah.

Led by Cantor Ofer Barnoy, the children light a ceremonial candle, sing songs and say special blessings.

During these unprecedented times, the Temple Beth Sholom Early Childhood Center conducts many of their classes outdoors to help keep the children safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.

While November typically brings cooler temperatures and challenges to remain outdoors, the school children have been so lucky to be able to be outdoors so often.
