Long Island to celebrate Shabbat with yoga

The Island Now
Jewish Yoga School’s founders, yoga instructor Sharon Epstein and Rabbi Tara Feldman, facilitate the program in Temple Beth-El of Great Neck’s main sanctuary.

Join Jewish communities across Long Island, from Great Neck to the Hamptons, as they roll out their yoga mats, preparing body and soul for the majesty of Shabbat.

Jewish Yoga School’s founders, Rabbi Tara Feldman and yoga instructor Sharon Epstein, along with participating synagogues, welcome the community to be inspired by the beauty and wholeness of the Sabbath during a soul-centering yoga session infused with the symbolism and meaning of Kabbalat Shabbat.

The Long Island Yoga Shabbat will take place on June 27 and 28 and members of the community are invited to come out to one of these free local events. No previous yoga experience is necessary.
