The League of Women Voters of Port Washington-Manhasset will once again give voters the opportunity to learn more about contenders for seats in the NYS legislature by streaming another virtual Candidates Forum from its website on Tuesday, October 20. This one will be for the NYS Senate District 7 starting at 7:00 pm and for NYS Assembly District 16 starting at 8:30 pm. Both districts serve Port Washington, Manhasset, and surrounding but different North Shore areas.*
Incumbent Anna Kaplan (D) and David Franklin (R) are vying for Anna’s place in the Senate. Gina Sillitti (D) and Ragini Srivastava (R) both want the open Assembly seat.
The forum will be live-streamed from the League’s home page (my.lwv.org/new-york/port- washington-manhasset). Just click on “Subscribe to our YouTube channel” a few minutes before start time.
