In honor of Veterans Day, The Town of North Hempstead celebrated the veterans who live in the town by distributing over 700 signs to veterans across the community.

“It was important to us to express our deep gratitude for the sacrifices made by our veterans,” said Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth. “These commemorative lawn signs are a small token of our appreciation for the bravery, heroism, and selflessness in serving our country and the values we hold dear.”

The veterans’ lawn signs were gifted to the veteran residents in North Hempstead by the town’s Department of Community Services. The signs also acknowledge the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II.
