The Island Now

Northwell Health has been chosen as one of the world’s most ethical companies in 2019 for the fifth consecutive year.

The health system was given this honor by Ethisphere Institute, a global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices.

Northwell Health is among 128 companies recognized in the 2019 rankings, including one of six nonprofit health care providers. Honorees span 21 countries and 50 industries.

Companies honored are recognized as a driving force for improving their communities, building capable and empowered workforces, and fostering corporate cultures focused on ethics and a strong sense of purpose.

“We are proud to be counted among The World’s Most Ethical Companies once again,” said Greg Radinsky, senior vice president and chief corporate compliance officer of Northwell. “This award recognizes Northwell’s core values of integrity and excellence as we strive to deliver compassionate treatment and care to all of our patients and redefine what it means to work in healthcare.”

Companies were scored in five categories: ethics and compliance program, corporate citizenship and responsibility, culture of ethics, governance and leadership, innovation and reputation. All companies that participate in the assessment process receive their scores, which provides them with valuable insights into how the measure up against leading organizations.
