The Island Now
The Swihart Family (mom Laurie and daughter Caroline) join Ronald McDonald House Charities New York Metro Secretary of the Board of Directors, Theresa Brucculeri as she accepts Halloween candy donated by pediatric patients of ProHEALTH Dental offices across Long Island and Queens for the families served by the organization. Anna Graci and Trish Rongo of ProHEALTH Dental also provided toothbrushes, toothpaste and floss to spread the company’s message that good oral health contributes to overall health & wellness.

ProHEALTH Dental, the region’s largest provider of integrated dental and oral health services, delivered a truckload of donated Halloween candy and dental hygiene supplies to families at the Ronald McDonald House Charities New York Metro, located at 267-07 76th Ave. in Queens.

The candy was donated by ProHEALTH Dental pediatric patients and collected at offices around Long Island and Queens to help sweeten the lives of the families in their time of need. ProHEALTH Dental also dropped off toothbrushes, toothpaste and dental floss to be distributed with the candy in a balanced educational message reinforcing good oral hygiene habits.

“ProHEALTH Dental shared the donated candy with RMDH to help bring Halloween to the kids and families that didn’t have the opportunity to trick or treat. We wanted to reinforce good oral hygiene habits in a balanced message about Halloween. You can have candy, but you also have to brush your teeth,” said Anna Graci, head of corporate community responsibility with ProHEALTH Dental. “A lot of dental offices do givebacks at this time of the year and we wanted ours to be meaningful. We were thinking of causes close to our heart and it was a no brainer to help out families in need.”
