Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Lichtblau to speak at Emanuel

Eric Lichtblau will be guest speaker at Emanuel's Holocaust Service

On Friday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m., Eric Lichtblau will be the guest in the pulpit at Temple Emanuel of Great Neck’s Holocaust Memorial Service. He will offer the talk, “Remembering the Holocaust.”

Lichtblau has been an American journalist reporting for the New York Times in the Washington bureau, as well as the Los Angeles Times, Time magazine, the New Yorker, and CNN network’s investigative news unit. He has earned two Pulitzer Prizes for his work.

Lichtblau received a Pulitzer Prize in 2006 with the New York Times for his reporting on warrantless wiretapping by the National Security Agency. He also was part of the New York Times team that won the Pulitzer in 2017 for coverage of Russia and the Trump campaign. He is the author of “Bush’s Law: The Remaking of American Justice,” and “The Nazis Next Door: How America Became a Safe Haven for Hitler’s Men.”

The Emanuel Holocaust Memorial Service is conducted by Rabbi Robert S. Widom and Cantor Jonathan Guss, accompanied by violin, flute, bass and organ. A book signing will follow the service. Admission is free.
