Pulitzer Prize winning Journalist Bob Keeler to speak at Reach Out America's April Meeting

In 1996, Bob Keeler won the Pulitzer Prize for his Newsday series on St. Brigid’s Catholic parish in Westbury.

His experience over the course of 42 years at the paper included stints as Suffolk County reporter, Albany bureau chief, Sunday magazine editor, religion writer, and editorial board member; following his retirement he worked, until recently, as a consultant to the Hagedorn Foundation.

Keeler is the author of three books and is currently working on one about our attitudes toward the military.

His U.S. Army service in Korea and the death of his brother from exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam inform our guest’s staunch pacifism and his view that, instead of blindly worshiping our military, we can and should actually support it. Keeler’s life and work make him well worth our undivided attention.
Meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 11 at 12:30 p.m., Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 48 Shelter Rock Road, Manhasset.

Admission is free, refreshments are provided and all are welcome.
