The Art Guild’s Art Lab open house, Jan. 12

The Island Now

The Art Guild invites adults to brush away their winter blues at their first Art Lab Open House on Sunday, Jan. 12 from 1 pm – 4 pm. Meet the instructors, tour the studios, and enjoy hands-on art workshops and demonstrations. The New Year is a natural time to start a new hobby or try something new.

“The Art Guild welcomes artists of all levels,” said Lisa Grossman, executive director of The Art Guild. “The Art Lab Open House will offer hands-on workshops so interested visitors can try different mediums and techniques such as drawing, painting, portraiture, colored pencil and more. If you’ve ever thought about taking a class but weren’t sure where to begin – or if a specific technique is right for you – then this afternoon will help you decide.”

Art Lab Open House is a free event for adults and will feature mini-workshops developed by The Art Guild’s team of talented instructors. Guests may select as many stations as they wish, time permitting. All materials will be provided.
