The Town of North Hempstead announced that Clark Botanic Garden in Albertson will be transformed into a winter wonderland with dazzling light displays on throughout the 12-acre grounds from Friday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Jan. 8, 2021.

“We hope residents come out and join us for some holiday cheer this winter,” said North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth. “The LED lights in Clark Garden will create a beautiful experience for the whole family. This fun outdoor event will also provide some joy and a safe way to adhere to social distancing guidelines.”

The garden will have extended hours and be open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Christmas Eve (Dec. 24) and New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31) the garden will close at 7 p.m. Additionally, Clark Garden will be closed on New Year’s Day and Christmas Day.

Decorations will include pre-lit standalone decorations along with lit trees. Attendees are asked to stay on the path and follow the light display. There will be a limit of 50 visitors at a time on the grounds.

The event is free and open to all North Hempstead residents. The Town is encouraging attendees to bring non-perishable/canned foods to the events as part of North Hempstead’s donation drive.
