On March 1 from 2 to 5 p.m., the office of Sen. Anna Kaplan is hosting mobile office hours at the library to hear from constituents and discuss whatever concerns you may have. Walk-ins are welcome and no appointments are necessary.

INTRODUCTION TO MINDFULNESS & MEDITATION

Tuesday, March 5 at 7 p.m. Mindfulness is the practice of being fully present and aware of what is happening right now, allowing for whatever comes up without judgment or resistance. If you have ever thought about trying the practice of mindfulness and meditation, here is your chance. Listen to expert Jo Futerman discuss both practices and how to incorporate them into the day. The discussion will finish with a short meditation and Q&A. Adults only.

TWEEN CANVAS ART

Thursday, March 14 at 4 p.m. Calling all tweens between the ages of 10 and 12 to come to the library to paint an owl canvas hosted by our friends at the Little Art Studio. $15. Must register and pay in the library.

EAST WILLISTON IRISH NIGHT

Thursday, March 14 at 7 p.m. Wear your green and come out to enjoy treats, music and Irish step dancing by East Williston’s own talented young girls and learn how to make Irish soda bread. Adults only. $5. Must register and pay in the library. For Irish soda bread, bring one of the following: your own cast iron skillet, deep dish pie plate, two small skillets or muffin cups to bring home and cook.
