Craft & story time: Decorate some take home space cookies and the library’s very own spaceship.

Thursday, July 11 at 1 p.m.
Kick off the space program by painting your own rocket ship bank. $3 fee. Register and pay in the library (limited space).

Join the 2019 Nassau Library Tour

Road trip to as many of Nassau’s public libraries as you can during July and August. Each one is your gateway into a new community. Visit the library, then explore the attractions, restaurants, and parks nearby. Take the self-guided tour as a family, a team of friends, or go solo. In each library there’s a unique feature to hunt for, and you’ll earn prizes as you go along. Visit 45 or more and be entered to win a grand prize. Museum Passes

Brooklyn Botanical Gardens: Admission for two adults and their children.

Cradle of Aviation Museum: Admission for six people.

Empire Pass: Unlimited vehicle access to most facilities operated by the New York State Office of Parks.

Guggenheim Museum: Admission for four adults or students, plus half-price admission for additional guests. Children under 12 are free.

Holocaust Memorial & Tolerance Center of Nassau County: Admission for four people.

Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum Complex: Admission for six people.

The Long Island Children’s Museum: Admission for four people.

Nassau County Firefighters Museum: Admission for six people.

Nassau County Museum of Art: Admission for two adults and four children.

New York Hall of Science: Admission for two adults and six children. Free Parking

New York Transit Museum: Admission for two adults and four children.

Old Westbury Gardens: Admission for two adults and their children.

Oyster Bay Railroad Museum: Admission for two adults and their children under 18.

Vanderbilt Museum: Admission for two adults and four children.

Rules for Borrowing Museum Passes:

East Williston card holders may borrow any pass for three days (no renewal).
1. There is a $10 late fee per day. Return the passes on time so that the library can give them to the next patron.

2. Patrons may reserve multiple museum passes in a given month, but may only reserve a specific museum pass once per month.
