Secret Slime Society

Grades 1 and up
Join the S.S.S. Meet new friends who like slime, learn secret slime hacks, exchange slime recipes and ideas, bring in slime you have made and tell us how you made it, and make a different kind of slime to take home each month! Please register in the Children’s Room or call 516-746-8488 ext. 1.

Dry Ice Demonstrations
Wednesday, May 22
4 to 5 p.m.
Grades 1 and up

Anthony Abbate, the Science Wizard, will demonstrate how to use dry ice to blow things up, levitate objects, float bubbles and balloons, make a fire extinguisher, vile foamy liquids, squealing coins/spoons and make “space” ice cream (vanilla or chocolate). * Food allergens may be present in this program. TEEN PROGRAMS

Getting Ready to Babysit
Thursday, May 23
3 to 6 p.m.
Grades 6 and up

Would you like to earn some money babysitting over the summer? An instructor from the Cornell University Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County will help you develop the skills necessary for the responsibility of being a sitter: child safety, developmental stages of children, and how to plan activities that are age appropriate.
