For most of our programs we will be using the Zoom meeting platform, which can be viewed on a PC, Mac, Smartphone or tablet (using the Zoom Cloud Meeting App).

The Zoom login information will be emailed to you the day before the program. Please check the library’s website, www.hillsidelibrary.info, for a list of supplies where needed, and also any additional information.

Tuesday, July 21 at 12 noon. Cooking with Chef Julie: Frittata Fun Thanks for joining our Social Cooking Together Class: Breakfast for Dinner Frittata Fun With Chefs of d’ Future, LLC “A Cooking School that Comes to You.”
Tuesday, July 21 at 7 p.m. Ophthalmology and You. Dr. Pomeranz, Northwell Health’s Associate Professor and Director of Neuro-Ophthalmology, presents an informative lecture discussing common issues affecting the eyes including: blurred vision due to needing glasses or contact lenses, glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration and diabetes. After the presentation, Dr. Pomeranz will welcome questions from the audience about eye disease or eye care.

Wednesday, July 22 at 7 p.m. Meditation for Stress Reduction. Join Dr. Matthew Raider as he discusses the extraordinary effect of meditation to reduce stress-related responses, improve concentration, enhance clarity of thought and mental equilibrium.

Nothing rocks more than summertime, rock n’ roll and a good movie! Go behind the scenes of some of your favorite rockin’ flicks (and a few unheralded gems) to find out how they were made.
Friday, July 24 at 7 p.m. Imagine your story: Virtual Art Night.
Learn from artist Doris Benter and enjoy drawing this beautiful sailboat seascape inspired by one of America’s finest artists, Edward Hopper. Materials are needed.

Wednesday, July 22 at 4:30 p.m. Oreo Bites & Ice Cream Shake.
ALL AGES – Family Fun! Chef Julie is back with a sweet treat: fudgey Oreo Bites and an Ice Cream Milkshake! A list of ingredients will be mailed out after registering so that you can watch and create along with Chef Julie.
Thursday, July 23 at 5 p.m. Origami on the Move! Grades: 2 & Up. Learn the basic folds and create a masterpiece.
