Soccer Development Program
Your kids might just warm up with this new soccer development program the Park District is offering with UK Elite Soccer. There is still time to register for this five week indoor program at Great Neck South Middle School. It is held on Saturdays beginning Jan. 27 and runs through March 10. All levels are welcome. The children are grouped by age. Little Dribblers (ages 3-4) 2-3 p.m., Little Kickers (ages 5-6) 3-4 p.m. and Super Strikers (ages 7-10) 4-5 p.m. Residents: $150; non-resident: $180. Nature Program: Birding Basics for Beginners
On Saturday, Feb. 10, 12:30 p.m., this indoor presentation at Great Neck House will introduce adults to birds and their adaptations. It will provide information on where to go and what to get to learn more. You will have the option of taking a short bird walk following the presentation (binoculars helpful). Weekend Movie at Great Neck House
The film, The Big Sick (2017), directed by Michael Showalter, is showing at Great Neck House, Friday, Jan. 26 at 8 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 27, at 5 and 8 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 28 at 7:30 p.m. Starring Kumail Nanjiani, Zoe Kazan and Holly Hunter, this film is based on a true love story and the struggle between different cultures. It is rated R and runs 1 hour 54 minutes. Park card required for admission.

Sunday @ 2: Noam Segal
Sunday, Jan. 28 at 2 p.m., join us at Great Neck House when musician Noam Segal, presents a high-energy, blended program of popular Yiddish and Hassidic music. Admission to Great Neck House requires a park card.

Birthday Parties in the Park District
Interest patrons can book their child’s next celebration with the Park District. Choose a skating party at the Andrew Stergiopoulos Ice Rink by calling (516) 829-4323 or a unique-themed party package at Steppingstone Park by calling (516) 482-0355. Parties include a private party room, two party hosts, invitations, pizza, cake and more. Check the Park District website at gnparks.org.

Defensive Driving Classes at Great Neck House
Great Neck House continues to offer Empire Safety Council Defensive Driving classes on the first Saturday of every month. The next class will be held Saturday, Feb. 3 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. To register or for more information, call Great Neck House at (516) 482-0355.

Camp Parkwood Winter Season at the Parkwood Sports Complex
Children in grades K-6, can enjoy the next session of Winter Camp Parkwood over the February break (Monday, Feb. 19- Friday, Feb. 23, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.) Activities include tennis, skating, hockey, archery, gymnastics and more. The children are grouped by age. Lunch may be purchased at the snack bar or can be brought from home. The residents fee is $450, while the non-residents fee is $500.
