Carey celebrates September Seniors of the Month

H. Frank Carey High School has named Francesca (Frankie) Nugnes and Chris Perdios Seniors of the Month for September.

Frankie is a student who gives all of herself to her studies, valuing hard work and challenges. She has not only been a success academically but has also participated in numerous extracurricular activities both in and out of school. This senior has been a dedicated leader in her roles as editor of the yearbook, vice president of the National Honor Society, vice president of the Student Government, student representative for the Class Board and corresponding secretary for Think Pink. Additionally, she is an active member of the Carey Clipper and plays on the varsity softball and winter track teams. Frankie not only shines academically, athletically and socially but is kind and genuine to those she meets.

Chris is a leader and role model, who is not only hard working and ambitious but is fully committed to helping make H. Frank Carey a wonderful experience for his class. Academically he is an AP scholar with a strong commitment to his studies, evident with his inductions into the Business, Math, National, Science and World Language honor societies. This senior holds the titles of president of the Student Government, co-president of FBLA, president of the President’s Club, student representative for the Class of 2019, features editor of the Carey Clipper, chair of fundraising for Relay for Life and treasurer of the National Honor Society. Additionally, he is a caring volunteer who dedicates his time and service to helping others and is an asset to his community.
