Students from Jackson Avenue School planted “seed bombs” outside of the school building to celebrate Earth Day on April 22. Every student in the building created a seed ball, which was made of rolled-up recycled paper, covered in flower seeds. Each ball of seeds was painted with blue and green paint, making them look like small models of the Earth.

Members of the student council planted the seeds outside of Jackson Avenue, with the intention of helping the pollinators including bees, butterflies and birds.

The activity inspired students to take care of the planet and the wildlife living on it. Every Jackson Avenue student was also able to take home a ball of seeds to plant.
