The Art Guild of Port Washington invites families to our annual summer event, CreARTive on Saturday, Aug. 7, from 1-4 PM. Our home at Nassau County’s Elderfields Preserve will feature free art-related activities such as tie-dying, simple printmaking, painting, clay hand-building, and more.
This is a great way for parents to meet our instructors and familiarize themselves with The Art Guild. The projects will be geared for ages 5 through 12. This year’s event is sponsored, in part, by a grant from the New York State Arts Council.
Our art classes for kids are equally fun and educational. Our teachers are exceptional professionals who generate a variety of projects every week, all year long. We would like to use this opportunity to connect with the community and share our love for art.
This fall, we are offering kids classes, including Art Explorations and Painting & Drawing.
Art Explorations with Mr. Manny is geared for grades K-4 and runs weekly from September 21- October 26. This class covers a variety of mediums for children to experiment and grow their skills.
Painting & Drawing with Mr. Manny is geared for grades 5+ and runs weekly from September 23-October 28. This class focuses on the essential and rudimentary skills needed to thrive in painting and drawing.
Summer Camp is in session! The Art Guild is offering weekly summer camps for kids and teens in a flexible space under an outdoor tent on our beautiful nature preserve. Smaller groups ensure a great experience! In the remaining weeks of the summer, we are offering a 3-D Work & Sculpture Summer Camp with award-winning artist, Mr. Marc Isaacs.
