Adventures in Learning annual fund drive

The Island Now

During these difficult and challenging times, Adventures in Learning is once again launching its Annual Fund Drive.

Due to the pandemic, the needs have been critical and urgent. More than ever, community outreach and support for our programs are essential.

Thanks to the community’s generosity and kindness, we are once again providing in-person support and resources to our underserved children in Manhasset and Great Neck. For that matter, the Adventures family is working harder than ever to support our students and families in need.

However, Adventures in Learning is dependent upon fundraising since it does not receive monies from any school district or from the Town of North Hempstead. Therefore, the organization relies totally upon grants and contributions. Charitable donations are and have always been key to its success.

For more than 52 years, Adventures has offered a safe environment where children can develop their academic performance and life skills. Adventures provides a place that nurtures their minds and bodies.

In addition to critical help with homework, Adventures offers values-focused activities that build on the themes of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. It is truly a remarkable program, thanks to community donations.

Adventures in Learning’s children are in our backyard. They desperately need these programs and assistance. Please help Adventures in Learning and donate to its Annual Fund Appeal. Sponsorships are listed as follows.

$10,000 keeps the roof on

$ 5,000 keeps a child at Adventures for a FULL YEAR

$ 2,500 partially supports a teacher for a FULL YEAR

$ 1,000 keeps Adventures COVID safe

$ 500 keeps classrooms full of needed supplies

$ 10-$499 provides healthy snacks
