Temple Judea will be hosting an evening with Charles A. Riley II, director of the Nassau County Museum of Art on Oct. 24, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Riley will speak about the museum’s current exhibit, True Colors, which he curated. True Colors runs through Nov. 4.

Riley has served as the director of the Nassau County Museum of Art since 2017. Prior to his appointment, he was both a curator-at-large and a presenter of lectures in conjunction with the museum’s exhibitions. Riley has written and lectured extensively on many art topics and has curated exhibitions in Berlin, Amsterdam, Lausanne, New York and on Long Island’s East End.

The True Colors exhibit features more than 100 works ranging from the 19th century to current talents. It is an exuberant show, highlighting the full range of color’s magic. The exhibit begins with a work by Titian, considered the original champion of color in art and includes exciting names such as Kandinsky, Motherwell, Warhol and Wolf Kahn.

The event is free of charge and open to all. Advance RSVP requested. To sign up or for more information, please call (516) 621-8049 or email templeoffice@temple-judea.com. Temple Judea is located at 333 Searingtown Road, Manhasset, conveniently located at exit 36 of the LIE.
