Ashram-Kant Darshan Darbar engages in philanthropy in 2017

In 2017, Ashram-Kant Darshan Darbar Spiritual Center located at 115 Jericho Turnpike, Mineola went beyond its identity as a meditation center and engaged in philanthropy – exemplifying its call-to-action motto: “In the name of God do good for someone else in your lifetime.”

The past year a range of charitable activities carried out by the Ashram under the leadership of Guru- Baba Gobind Ram Ji (Baba Ji).

On Sept. 10th, for the first time, Ashram participated in the Mineola Street Fair which was organized by Village of Mineola. Volunteers distributed free snack and water bottles for fairgoers along with free knowledge about spiritual center and spiritual discourses organized by the Ashram for the community.

State Sen. Ellaine Phillip and Mineola Mayor Scott Strauss applauded the efforts of the Ashram volunteers.

A Blood Drive was held at the Ashram on Nov. 11t in collaboration with the American Red Cross. Tony Lubrano, president of the Mineola Chamber of Commerce, and Strauss, were present to support the 4th Annual Blood Drive. Philips also extended her support for the good cause by posting the Ashram-Kant Darshan Darbar, NY Blood Drive Flyer on her Facebook.

More than 60 donors were present between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Management of Ashram along with active volunteer team made extra arrangements for the refreshments, juice and nutritional snacks that were provided to the donors. Donors were supervised by volunteers and nurses for health recovery afterwards. In the meantime, donors were educated on spirituality and meditation can help them better their physical and mental health. Baba Gobind Ram Ji on behalf of Ashram thanked to all the donors, government, management, volunteers, nurse staff for their support.

Ashram Kant Darshan Darbar also hosted their annual toy drive this year. The toy drive was held at the JFK Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey.

Volunteers and Ashram members collaborate money to buy new toys and they all gather to go to handover toys to the kids.

In the guidance of Baba Gobind Ram Ji, Ashram achieved many mile stones last year. Baba Ji aims to spread the message of kindness all over North America in different states as well as in Canada. During the spiritual discourse he explains with examples so that kids as well as adults follow the truth of life.

Baba Ji, and Ashram always welcome people from all communities, religions and nationalities to attend Spiritual Discourse, meditation sessions or be a volunteer in the social activities with free of cost. On special requests Baba Gobind Ram Ji meet one-on-one with the seekers.
