Assemblyman Anthony D’Urso presented citations to three Boy Scouts from Herrick’s Troop 201 who recently achieved the highest rank of Eagle Scout at a ceremony held at the American Legion Post 144 in Williston Park.
Troop 201’s newest Eagle Scouts are Jordan Chin, Michael Marcy and Nicholas Ryan.
For his Eagle service project. Jordan Chin refurbished the Alberson-Herricks Little League two equipment rooms by cleaning, painting and installing new flooring. He also created a data base for their inventory.
Michael Marcy enhanced the interior of the Mineola Knights of Columbus Hall. He also cleaned and painted and then constructed a new literature stand which was placed in the front entrance where visitors can pick up information.
Nicholas Ryan concentrated on the Cathedral of the Incarnation in Mineola. He researched its history and created a museum display in its crypt. He then lined two large display cases, constructed display shelves and easels and installed new lighting making it easier to see the exhibition.
“I am proud to have these fine young people as my constituents and wish them best success for their future endeavors,” D’Urso said.
